Spiced Cream Cheese Frosting for Fall

This is the perfect frosting for fall. The spices are reminiscent of pumpkin spice and will add the perfect finishing touch to your dessert from pumpkin to chocolate. Made with cream cheese it is a creamy texture and is perfect for cakes or cupcakes.

Ingredients

1 1/2 C. butter, softened
12 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 Tbsp. vanilla
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. ground ginger
6 1/2 – 7 C. confectioners’ sugar

Mix butter and cream cheese until thoroughly blended. Add cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and ginger and combine. Add confectioners’ sugar 1 cup at a time and mix until your desired consistency is reached. Spread or pipe onto your cake.

    This sweet, spicy cream cheese frosting is perfect for fall. It takes only a few minutes to make and is perfect on Pumpkin Spice Cappuccino Cupcakes.

    Ingredients

    • 6 1/2 - 7 C. confectioners' sugar

    Instructions

    1. Mix butter and cream cheese until thoroughly blended. Add cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and ginger and combine. Add confectioners' sugar 1 cup at a time and mix until your desired consistency is reached.

    Notes

    Use either more or less confectioners' sugar to achieve the frosting consistency you prefer.
